| 2.2.1.3. | Vertical load. Attach the hinge system to the mounting provision of the test fixture. Hinge attitude must simulate the vehicle position (door fully closed) relative to the hinge centreline. For test purposes, the load is to be applied centreline of the hinge pin in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal and transverse loads. Apply the test load at a rate not to exceed 5 mm/min until the required load is achieved. Failure consists of a separation of either hinge. Record the maximum load achieved. | a0c0 |
