Four seconds after ignition of a driving-beam of Classes D or ES, equipped with a gas discharge light source with the ballast not integrated with the light source, and that has not been operated for 30 minutes or more at least 37500 cd shall be attained at point HV, for a headlamp producing driving beam only. The power supply shall be sufficient to secure the required rise of the high current pulse.
