Four seconds after ignition of a passing-beam of Class D, equipped with a gas discharge light source with the ballast not integrated with the light source, and that has not been operated for 30 minutes or more at least 6250 cd shall be attained at point 50V for headlamps producing passing-beam only or alternately passing- and driving- beam functions. The power supply shall be sufficient to secure the required rise of the high current pulse.
